Registration

Registration is a 2-step process: 

Early bird registration has closed. Information on registration fees is available here

Once you have registered you can order a t-shirt here. This is covered by your registration.


Registration fees cover: 

  • Participation in all festival activities 
  • 3 nights’ accommodation and meals at camp 
  • Goody bag (which will include a detailed festival program and handbook, music scores and merchandise)

Festival theme

Our theme is “Life and Death”, reflecting the themes of the festival’s chosen piece, the Brahms Requiem (‘A German Requiem’). Our phoenix logo reflects the festival theme.

Repertoire

We will be singing the Brahms Requiem (‘A German Requiem’) at the festival concert. Other pieces for the concert are being finalised.

Camp

Our camp is at Warrambui Retreat, Murrumbateman, a 40 minute drive from Canberra. Information on getting to camp is below.

Camp will be mixed dorm accommodation for 3 nights (9-11 January).
It will be bring your own bedding – please contact the committee if this is an issue.

Camp will be fully catered, with dietary options available (please indicate any dietary requirements when registering).

Getting to Camp

The address for camp is 322 Greenwood Road, Murrumbateman NSW.

You need to get to camp by no later than 6.30pm to have dinner on the first night. The campsite opens from 5pm. 

If you are arriving in Canberra after 5.30pm please email the committee using the subject line ‘Attn T+B officer – Assistance to get to camp’ with details of where and when you expect to arrive in Canberra (e.g. flight from Adelaide landing at 7.20pm).

In Canberra (after camp)

After camp, festival participants should arrange their own accommodation in Canberra (12-17 January). Limited billeting with local Canberrans will be available, with students given first priority. Please express interest in billeting when completing your registration form. 
Festival registration includes the following catered events: 

  • Academic Dinner: A formal evening dinner on 15 January at Canberra Southern Cross Club Woden 
  • Post-Concert Party: A celebration following the concert on 17 January venue TBC 
  • Recovery BBQ: A BBQ to farewell each other on 18 January at the Australian National University (ANU)

Rehearsals in Canberra will be held at the ANU Copland Lecture Theatre, located in central Canberra.
