About

The Intervarsity Choral Festivals (also known as “IVs”) are a longstanding tradition of Australian university choirs, overseen by the Australian Intervarsity Choral Societies Association (AICSA). Singers of all ages and experience are invited to a week of intensive rehearsals, building up to a concert in the host city. The first Intervarsity festival was held in 1950 as the Sydney University Musical Society joined with the Melbourne University Choral Society to perform a combined concert. Now, hundreds of singers join to continue this tradition annually!
