CIV will refund registration fees where registration is cancelled as follows:
| Timing of you notifying CIV that you want to cancel your registration | Amount of refund |
| By the end of November | Full refund |
| By the end of December | $100 of registration fee will be retained to cover sunk costs; remainder of fee paid will be refunded |
| By the end of the first week of January | $200 of registration fee will be retained to cover sunk costs; remainder of fee paid will be refunded |
| Second week of January or later | No refund |
